Defination =A meaningfull combination of words having subject and predicate is called a sentence.
There are generally four kinds of sentence- (1) Affirmative sentence -the sentence making a statement whether in affirmative or negative called an affirmative sentence. Like as: the earth moves round the sun. (affirmative) The earth is not flat. (negative)
(2)interrogative sentence-A sentence that asks a question is called an interrogative sentence. What is the matter? Who does not love his country?
(3) imperative sentence-A sentence that expresses a command,a request ,and entreaty or wish is called an imperative sentence. Never surrender (command) Lend me your book, please.(request) Help me ,o God (entreaty)
(4) Exclamatory. Sentence - A sentence that expresses some sudden or strong felling is called an exclamatory sentence. What a horrible scene it was ! How hot it is !
