PLURALIZATION

There are certain principles that are generally applicable that make the singular into plural easier by some following rules कुछ नियम है जिनके द्वारा आसानी से एकवचन संज्ञा को बहुवचन में बदला जा सकता है जो निम्नलिखित है।

Rules[1] For most nouns, add an 's' at the end of the word. कुछ संज्ञा जिनके अंत में s जोड़कर plural बनाया जाता है।

SINGULAR&PLURAL Car=Cars Desk=Desks Tree=Trees Ball=Balls Hand=Hands

Rules=2 For nouns that end with 's', 'x', 'z', 'ch', or 'sh', add 'es' at the end of the word. जिन संज्ञाओं का अंतिम लेटर s,x,z,ch,or sh हो उनमे es जोड़ देते है प्लुरल बनाने के लिए। Example⤵ SINGULAR&PLURAL Boss=Bosses Box=Boxes Topaz=Topazes Leech=Leeches Dish=Dishes

Rules =3 For some words that end with 'o', add 'es' at the end of the word. कुछ सब्द जिनका अंत o से हो उनमे es जोड़ देते है बहुवचन बनाने के लिए।

Rules 4 For some words that end with 'o', add 's' at the end of the word. कुछ अन्य शब्द जिनके अंत में o आता है उनमें s जोड़कर बहुवचन बनाते है।

Rules 5 For some words ending with 'f', replace the 'f' with a 'v' and add 'es' at the end of the word. कुछ शब्द जिनके अंत मे f आता है f को हटाकर उसके स्थान पर v रख देते है और es जोड़ देते है।

Rules 6 For some words ending with 'f', add an 's' at the end of the word. कुछ शब्द जिनका अंत f से होता है उनके अंत में s जोड़ देते है बहुवचन बनाने के लिए।

Rules 7 For some words ending with 'ife', replace the 'f' with a 'v' and add an 's' at the end of the word. कुछ वर्ड्स जिनके अंत में ife आता है f ko हटा कर के v रख देते है और s जोड़ देते है।

Example⤵ SINGULAR&PLURAL Wife=Wives Knife=Knives Life=Lives

Rules 8 For common nouns ending with a consonant followed by 'y', replace the 'y' with an 'i' and add 'es' at the end of the word. Common संज्ञा जिनमेy से पहले कोई consonant आता है y को हटा देते है और I लगाकर es जोड़ देते है।

Rules 9 Some nouns are the same in both forms. कुछ संज्ञा सामान होती एकवचन और बहुवचन में।

Rules 10 For some nouns, other letters must be replaced or added, sometimes changing the words completely. कुछेक संज्ञा का letter को बदल कर या फिर उनमें बीच के letter को change करके बहुवचन बनाया जाता है।
